Ingredients

Method

  1. Place flour in a 2 litre mixing bowl and add the egg. Gradually stir in the milk. Whisk the mixture to make a smooth, thin batter.
  2. Heat frying pan over high heat for a few minutes. The pan should be hot. Add 1/2 teaspoon of butter and swish around the pan until the entire pan surface is buttery.
  3. Pour in 2-3 tablespoons of batter into the pan. Quickly tilt the pan to cover the whole pan in batter evenly.
  4. Use a spatula to keep an eye on the underside of the pancake. Flip the pancake when the underside is golden brown.
  5. Serve pancakes as they are made onto warm plates.
  6. Spread with sugar and lemon or Maple syrup

Makes about 10.

Time: approximately 30 minutes.
