Ingredients
- 1 cup of rolled oats
- 1 pear, roughly diced into 1-2cm sized pieces
- freshly ground cinnamon
- handful of Almond flakes
- milk
- water
- Adelaide Hills or Kangaroo Island honey
Method
- Place oats in a small saucepan
- Dice pear and place in the saucepan
- Grate the cinnamon into the saucepan
- Pour in some milk
- Add water until the porridge and pear are mostly covered
- Place saucepan on medium high until the first sign of bubbling; then turn the heat down to very low
- Put almond flakes in small pan on low-medium heat until very slightly toasted, then remove
- Remove porridge from heat and serve in a bowl garnished with almond flakes and a dollop of honey.
