Ingredients
- 1 cup of plain flour
- 1 egg
- 1 cup of milk
- butter
- sugar & lemon
- or Maple syrup
Method
- Place flour in a X litre mixing bowl and add the egg. Gradually stir in the milk. Whisk the mixture to make a smooth, thin batter.
- Heat frying pan over high heat for a few minutes. The pan should be hot. Add 1/2 teaspoon of butter and swish around the pan until the entire pan surface is buttery.
- Pour in 2-3 tablespoons of batter into the pan. Quickly tilt the pan to cover the whole pan in batter evenly.
- Use a spatula to keep an eye on the underside of the pancake. Flip the pancake when the underside is golden brown.
- Serve pancakes as they are made onto warm plates.
- Spread with sugar and lemon or Maple syrup
Makes about 10.
Time: approximately 30 minutes.
